The Elk Ridge Lodge is located in the tri-state area of Western North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee and Northern Georgia. It is situated precisely on the borderline of Tennessee and North Carolina. The driveway entrance is in Tennessee and the lodge itself is in North Carolina. The Georgia border is only 15 miles south of the lodge on TN 68.

The trip to the Elk Ridge Lodge is an exciting adventure. Regardless of routing, or chosen means of travel, most roads run through places like the Great Smokey and Blue Ridge Mountains and the Cherokee and Nantahala National Forests past gorgeous lakes, rushing river rapids and some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.

One of the best things about traveling the tri-state area, is that there is usually very little traffic and no congestion. There is also very little commercialization throughout the region.
